OUR ULTHERAPY REVIEW – THE NON-INVASIVE FACELIFT

Date

Ultherapy, commonly known as “Ulthera”, is a popular, FDA-approved procedure for lifting and tightening skin. Well-liked by many due to its effectiveness despite being non-invasive (no injections) and requiring almost no downtime. Read on to get answers to commonly asked questions about Ultherapy.

What Happens During the Treatment?

Before treatment, a mandatory consultation with our doctor is done so as to examine your skin. During consultation, our doctor will brief you on what to expect during treatment. Thereafter, you will be given pain reducers to improve comfort levels. A layer of numbing cream will be thinly applied on your face. This is then cleansed off after 15-20 minutes and a ultrasound gel is generously applied onto the treatment area.

During the treatment, a handheld handpiece, set at 65o to 70oC, is passed over your face and transmits ultrasound energy at different depths (there are 3, categorized by intensity) depending on your needs and comfort. The sensation lasts only as long as the applicator is at that spot.

Ultherapy’s real-time visualization screen helps the doctor see precisely which affected area he/she is treating. This helps avoid structures such as bone and blood vessels, without disrupting your skin.

As the handpiece passes over your skin, you will feel a warm sensation. This means that your body has started producing the collagen which will help to tighten your skin during the procedure.

How Much Time Does It Take?

The timing that the procedure lasts for varies depending on the area being treated. The full face and neck area took approximately 1 hour.

Is the Procedure Painful?

The discomfort is greatly minimised due to the pain reducer and numbing cream applied prior to the Ultherapy treatment.

What is the Recovery Time?

There is almost no downtime and you will able to resume your daily activities as soon as the treatment is completed.

How Long Does it Take for Results to Appear?

Every individual is unique. Your skin should start to respond to Ultherapy, after the treatment and the skin will tighten and lift over time, with the noticeable effects three months following treatment.

Even after three months, medical data indicates that the Ultherapy results of lifting and firming continues to improve. It is advised that the Ultherapy treatment be repeated once a year to maintain the results.

Feel free to consult our doctors to visualize potential outcomes, bearing in mind the uniqueness of each individual’s response to treatment.

How Much will It Cost?

The cost of Ultherapy will vary based on the region to be treated. Ultherapy can be used to treat the entire face or to target specific regions of the face such as the brows, undereye, cheeks, jawline, and upper and lower neck.

In conclusion, do your research well before going for the actual treatment. Read Ultherapy review online or consult an experienced doctor to check if you are suitable for the treatment.
